DR Congo: applications for graduate opportunities in the following year are possible between February until June each year.
China: applications are accepted all year
India: applications open from August to November each year.
South America: applications are accepted all year.
Scholarships
Somima creates opportunities for bright young people in the communities in which we operate through an extensive scholarship program. The program offers more than USD 50,000 per annum in direct support for students each year.
Applicants must be residents of the DR Congo and have lived in the DR Congo for a minimum of ten years or half their life preceding the date of application. Academic performance, residency and career interest are considered in the selection process. Applicants who wish to pursue a career in the mining industry are favoured. Applications for scholarships starting in September are considered between January and April each year via the online link.
